Southern Ocean Medical Center Sponsors Jetty’s 11th Coquina Jam

For the second year in a row, Hackensack Meridian Health Southern Ocean Medical Center was proud to once again partner with Jetty as the presenting sponsor of Coquina Jam, the all-female surfing competition on Sunday, July 28 in Brant Beach on Long Beach Island.

The 11th annual surfing event raises funds for female cancer through the David's Dream & Believe Cancer Foundation. This year, the highly popular surfing competition expanded to include 64 women to make 32 teams competing in a “bracket”-style competition. This year’s goal was to fundraiser for the largest raised and donated amount yet, that will provide hope to patients in need of cancer care in the community.

Sponsoring events such as this one provides great recognition for Southern Ocean, as well as the medical center’s foundation, which is currently raising funds to support the hospital through the Giving Heals campaign. To learn more, click here.
