Keeping America Safe: Hackensack Meridian Health Assist Program leads New Jersey’s reopening post COVID-19

Last June, Hackensack Meridian Health launched its Keep America Safe program to assist businesses, schools and nonprofits recover from the sudden closures due to COVID-19. As our health care heroes continue to battle this disease and vaccines are administered, our efforts to assist our community partners continues.

After just six months, the Keeping America Safe initiative now assists more than 150 businesses, schools and non-profits and this partnership provides the employees, students and visitors a safe environment. "As our health care heroes continue to fight COVID-19, the "Keeping America Safe: Hackensack Meridian Health Assist Program" is ready to help the very communities that rallied around team members during the height of the pandemic, said Robert C. Garrett, CEO, Hackensack Meridian Health. "From the historic Count Basie Theater to the offices of Bell Works, our team is here to help ensure our local economies are able to safely open for all who visit."

As New Jersey's largest integrated health care network, Hackensack Meridian Health is prepared to help businesses navigate their questions and is well-positioned to provide expert consultation and a myriad of exceptional services for a safe and secure environment.

Businesses who participate in Tier 2 of Hackensack Meridian Health's Assist Program earn the endorsement logo for use on approved materials to let employees, customers and the general public know they have taken advanced safety measures.

"SUEZ North America is very excited to partner with Hackensack Meridian Health and to take part in their 'Keeping America Safe' program," said Nadine Leslie, CEO, SUEZ North America. "This program provides our employees with best practices and recommendations to achieve a safer work environment. We feel our partnership with Hackensack Meridian Health renews our commitment to keeping our essential employees safe and healthy all-the-while allowing our company to ensure the essential services and reliability we have provided our customers for more than 150 years."

"Our team of health experts have been thought leaders throughout this pandemic and are ready to share insights and best practices as well as tailor a plan that works in step with your specific business needs, said Garrett. "The fight against COVID-19 will take the efforts of our whole community and we look forward to continuing to play a role in that effort."
