Three Hackensack Meridian Health Leaders Recognized as NJBIZ 2021 Digi-Tech Honorees

Hackensack Meridian Health is pleased to announce that three of its key leaders have been selected as honorees for the NJBIZ 2021 Digi-Tech Awards program: Pinkrose Hamilton, vice president of Business Intelligence at Hackensack Meridian Health, Pamela Landis, vice president of Digital Engagement at Hackensack Meridian Health, and Rachel Weiss, vice president of Telehealth and New Business at Hackensack Meridian Health.

“I want to congratulate Pinkrose, Pamela, and Rachel, as leaders in their field and as valued leaders in our network,” said Robert C. Garrett, FACHE, chief executive officer of Hackensack Meridian Health. “Their level of expertise and talent is essential to supporting our mission to transform health care and serve as a leader of positive change.”

Pinkrose Hamilton oversees all aspects of integrative data and provides essential information for decision-making. Her mission is to leverage the significance and potency of data to elevate and advance the quality and safety of patient care, key research projects, operational efficiency, and financial analytics with data as the backbone of decision-making, fueling process-improvement.

Ms. Hamilton initially launched the Business Intelligence Department and Enterprise Data Warehouse at Hackensack Meridian Hackensack University Medical Center in 2011. Under her leadership, the Business Intelligence team has developed an industry-leading integrated and standardized approach to data management and distribution, including on-demand self-service analytics.

Pamela Landis has dedicated her career to making it easier for patients to access health care with user-friendly technology. A pioneer in patient engagement, Ms. Landis and her teams built some of the first online appointment scheduling systems and patient portals in 1999. Since then, she has advocated for using modern technology to help patients manage their health care more efficiently and conveniently.

Ms. Landis is responsible for overseeing strategy and implementation of mobile, web, unified communication, engagement, and collaborative technologies for patients, consumers, physicians and employees. Her team oversees development and deployment of teammate-facing tools that enhance and extend the ease of working at Hackensack Meridian Health.

Rachel Weiss serves on the strategy team focused on the launch of new telehealth initiatives. This work has been essential in the past year as COVID-19 created a more urgent and specific need for telehealth. Hackensack Meridian Health telehealth encounters grew exponentially in 2020.  Ms. Weiss collaborated with the team to drive this solution, including Hackensack Meridian Health Medical Group leadership, Revenue Cycle Services, Compliance, IT, and the Epic Training team, working together to make this possible.

Ms. Weiss is also a key contributor to other innovative initiatives and new business prospects, such as the Genomic Next Generation Sequencing Lab. Working collaboratively, she leverages her skills, innate abilities, and technology to help to ensure that patients stay connected to their providers and get the care they need.

Selected by an independent panel of judges, Ms. Hamilton, Ms. Landis, and Ms. Weiss were among NJBIZ Digi-Tech Award honorees celebrated during a live, online presentation on April 22. They will be featured in a Digi-Tech Awards supplement that will be inserted into the May 5th issue of NJBIZ.
