Restaurant Meal Delivery
Concierge Care has made arrangements with local restaurants to deliver meals for patients and their guests. The menus have been customized to include important nutritional information. All food requests will be discussed with our clinical care team to comply with the patient’s dietary and health restrictions.

At Riverview Medical Center’s Gift Shop, you can choose from a wide variety of gifts including fresh flowers, balloons, plush animals, home décor items, candles and jewelry – and make them extra special with a fitting greeting card.
Our patients and visitors can also find newspapers, magazines, personal care items, candy, snacks and beverages. One-of-a-kind gift items crafted by local artists are also on display in the Gift Shop.
To welcome the newest addition to your family, the Gift Shop carries a wide selection of newborn gifts such as plush animals and layette items. Pamper a new mom with a gift such as a cuddly robe, soothing lotion, candle or essential oil. Or congratulate the new parents with a floral arrangement and balloons.

For people who live out of the area, and patients unable to leave their rooms, are invited to call the Gift Shop at 732-530-2465 to arrange for deliveries to the patient’s room – free of charge.

The Food and Nutrition Department offers a complete breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu of gourmet kosher foods which comply with Jewish dietary laws. Simply ask your nurse or the representative from Nutrition Services, and you will be given a menu from which to choose. If you have special needs not addressed by the menu, please call 732-530-2358 and the food and nutrition team will be happy to assist you.
Prayer books are available in the chapel and in the pastoral care departments.
Regular candles are prohibited due to fire regulations. Electric candles are available for use by calling the patient representatives or by asking your nurse to contact a patient representative.
On the Sabbath or during holidays, visitors can enter through the manual door next to the revolving doors in the Marshall Booker Entrance.
To make it possible for you to avoid elevators and electric doors on the Sabbath and holidays, a map of Riverview Medical Center stairwells is available at the main desk in the Marshall Booker entrance, at the Welcome Ambassador desk upon entering the Emergency Department, or by contacting a Guest Relations Representative.

- Birth: Provide list of Mohels to perform a bris for baby boys, event planning – for bris or baby naming
- Loss: Provide list of Jewish Funeral Homes, locate caterer/kosher caterer to prepare food for shiva, provide list of accommodators to prepare/clean prior to, during, and after shiva, research and provide information around traditional observation (example, cover mirrors).
Additionally, the Concierge can provide a list of local rabbis and synagogues to all of our guests and patients.
We want to make your transition back home seamless and convenient. With our NEW ambulatory pharmacy, you can fill your prescription and ask questions about your medication before you leave the hospital.
Our ambulatory pharmacy can fill prescriptions during your hospital visit. A pharmacy liaison will visit to fill your prescription as well as provide education about the medication and, based upon timing, deliver it to your bedside or make it available for pick-up at our pharmacy upon discharge.
This service is available from 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and is located on the first floor next to the Chapel in the Marshall Pavilion. Most prescription plans are accepted and we accept cash, check, or debit/credit.

Created in 1980, Riverview Medical Center’s Art Therapy Program has been providing therapeutic support groups to children who have experienced an illness or death in the family. The program provides a safe creative outlet for expression and coping using the art therapy process. The groups are led by an experienced licensed clinical social worker and board certified art therapist.
Additionally, Riverview offers an open art studio for adults in all stages of their cancer journey. From newly diagnosed patients to those who have completed treatment, the open studio offers a safe place to explore a wide range of art materials as a method of expression or coping. Individual art therapy is offered bedside or chair-side to adult patients receiving cancer treatment. Art therapy is a recognized treatment modality that is an essential component to health, healing, and well-being. Art talent is not required for participation in art therapy. Our pastoral care department identifies and responds to the spiritual needs of our patients, their families, and the Medical Center staff. To receive a visit from the chaplain or another member of the Pastoral Care team, please ask your nurse to page Pastoral Care.

Providing a welcome break in the day for patients, a new animal-assisted therapy program at Riverview provides patients comfort and companionship in a way that increases emotional well-being and promotes healing for patients through weekly visits.
The program is coordinated through the hospital’s volunteer program, and visits the hospital through a partnership with Bright and Beautiful Therapy Dogs Inc, a nonprofit organization based in New Jersey.

- Research by the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine Research Center for Human-Animal Interaction (ReCHAI) suggests that visits with animals may improve patient outcomes, decrease length of hospital stay, help with confusion, depression, and manage pain symptoms.
- Interaction with animals has also been shown to reduce blood pressure, increase sensory stimulation, inspire a sense of purpose, increase social interactions with staff, and reduce loneliness by creating a sense of companionship.

Our personnel are available to assist you and your family throughout your hospital stay, providing discharge planning services, referrals to community services, and counseling.
Our volunteers make up a vital part to our health care team. Through their donation of time and services, they fill an important role in the Medical Center and the community by helping us deliver high-quality medical care. They assist nurses and provide personal services for patients, including reading and delivering books & newspapers.

Cancellation Policy: To avoid a penalty, appointments must cancel more than 3-hours in advance of the scheduled appointment time. Same day appointments that are subsequently cancelled are subject to the cancellation policy and subsequent fees.
Fees: Minimum cancellation fee: $20.00. For services booked that total $50.00 and above, cancellation fee: 50% of total services.
Details: If a Stylist arrives at the Hospital, and the services requested cannot be performed based on Hospital staffing, cancellation fee still applies.
