Our Mission, Vision and Beliefs
Over the past 40 years, our organization has been providing quality pre-hospital critical care throughout Bergen County, NJ and surrounding communities.
"We're the first and last impression for many of our patients," said Michelle Kobayashi, Administrative Director of Emergency Medical Services and Emergency Community Operations. "We always go out of our way to give them the best care possible."
As a result, it is our mission to ensure that the highest standard of care is provided to our patients, our healthcare partners, and the communities we serve, through clinical excellence, inter-professional collaboration, education, in-novation and research. Our vision, to lead the pursuit of excellence and be the premier provider of emergency medical services and emergency community operations is reflected in everything we do.
Hackensack University Medical Center believes that great pre-hospital care for our communities begins with high quality education. In an effort to provide the highest quality of care to our patients we ensure that every paramedic, EMT, and critical care transport nurse receives rigorous and ongoing classroom and clinical education in alignment with Hackensack University Medical Center’s mission, vision and beliefs.
Our educational environment is one that supports a culture of excellence by providing educational programs based on the latest clinical evidence and research in an effort to support excellent quality patient care outcomes.
