Allan Davidson, Pharm.D.
Current Position: PGY2 Emergency Medicine Pharmacy Resident, HUMC
Pharmacy School: Eshelman School of Pharmacy, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
Residency Training: PGY1 Pharmacy Residency, Upstate University Hospital
Previous EM experience: One ED rotation as an APPE, and another month as a PGY-1.
Why I’m interested in EM: The thing I love most about emergency medicine is the variety of patients we get to manage of all levels of acuity, no two days are ever the same! I also love how closely we are able to work with physicians, and the more hands-on role in patient care that we are able to have in the ED.
Fun Fact: After my first year of pharmacy school I spent the summer working as the pastry and sweets baker at a local bakery. I went to work every day at 3 am to bake cookies, scones, muffins, you name it!
