Welcome to the Neurocritical Care Fellowship
The 2-year, UCNS-accredited Neurocritical Care Fellowship at JFK University Medical Center offers an exceptional foundation for your career. Situated in a desirable central New Jersey location, our program allows you to thrive both personally and professionally. Edison, New Jersey is closely located to public transportation and has direct access to Philadelphia and New York. Upon completion of the program, fellows will be eligible to sit for the UCNS Neurocritical Care Board Certification.
As a fellow, you will be immersed in the high-acuity environment of our Joint Commission-designated Comprehensive Stroke Center, gaining experience with a high case volume, a diverse patient population, and state-of-the-art biplane angiography suites. You will learn from a dedicated, interdisciplinary faculty of experts in neurocritical care, interventional neurology, neurosurgery, and neuroradiology, who foster a supportive and collaborative learning environment.
Our comprehensive curriculum is designed to build your clinical mastery across the full spectrum of neurological emergencies, including complex stroke, traumatic brain injury, seizures, and central nervous system infections. You will achieve proficiency in a wide range of critical care procedures, including advanced airway management, central line placement, and the use of bedside ultrasound, through hands-on training and advanced simulation. To further customize your training, we offer a selection of electives in stroke rehabilitation at the renowned Johnson Rehabilitation Hospital, as well as in neurosurgery, anesthesia, neurointervention, research, and neurovascular ultrasound. Beyond clinical excellence, our fellowship is committed to developing you as a leader and educator. You will sharpen your skills by mentoring residents and medical students, and we actively support your participation in investigator-initiated research, multi-center national trials, and presentations at national conferences.
