Pulmonary Disease Fellowship | Jersey Shore University Medical Center

Program Overview

The Pulmonary Disease Fellowship at Jersey Shore University Medical Center is a two-year program that offers comprehensive training in a dynamic environment. Our dedicated Fellows possess a passion for learning and provide high-quality, compassionate care to our patients. The skills learned during this fellowship will benefit fellows for the lifetime of their careers.

The Academic Center at Jersey Shore, part of the Hackensack Meridian Health School of Medicine at Seton Hall University, is a tertiary referral hospital that evaluates and treats a large number of pulmonary patients with complex issues. Over the next two years, the pulmonary division at Jersey Shore University Medical Center will offer extensive training in a tertiary critical care setting in our 24 beds combined Cardiac Care Unit (CCU) and Medical Intensive Care Unit () , with additional exposure in our Neuro Intensive Care Unit. Outpatient experience in evidence-based pulmonary medicine is gained in our asthma clinic, COPD clinic, pulmonary rehabilitation, and sleep medicine areas. Advanced bronchoscopic modalities include Endobronchial Ultrasound Bronchoscopy () , thermoplasty, navigational biopsies, stent placements, and cryotherapy. We have the technology, resources, and a unique understanding of how to provide innovative pulmonary care, while providing advanced knowledge and experience to our fellows in a collegial and collaborative environment.
