Pediatric and Adult Concussion Center director Felicia Gliksman, D.O., invited to lead Neuroscience Course Directors

Felicia Gliksman, D.O., director of the Pediatric and Adult Concussion Center at Joseph M. Sanzari Children's Hospital at Hackensack University Medical Center, and Vice Chair of the Department of Neurology at the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine, was recently invited to chair the Neuroscience Course Directors Workgroup of the American Academy of Neurology (AAN), and contribute her educator perspective to shape a valuable educational experience. She was also elected as chair-elect of the Consortium of Neurology Clerkship Directors.

Dr. Gliksman is already a member of the AAN’s Undergraduate Education Subcommittee (UES). Dr. Gliksman is vice chair of Neurology, at the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine. As a UES member, she helps develop recommendations for policies and activities related to undergraduate education and is charged with monitoring medical student education in neurology and making improvement suggestions.

Dr. Gliksman is a board-certified neurologist specializing in the treatment of pediatric and adult concussions and brain injuries and has been recognized as a fellow of AAN. She also is a co-investigator for a research study related to recovery from brain injury: “Speech Indicators of Dysfunction and Recovery following Mild Traumatic Brain Injury.”
