Med school to launch with $100M endowment from Hackensack Meridian Health

The board of Hackensack Meridian Health has approved a $100 million endowment to fund scholarships at the new Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine at Seton Hall University. The 16-hospital New Jersey health system, which teamed up with the South Orange, N.J.–based university to found the school, will provide money from its investment portfolio to help offset tuition costs for students who meet academic and financial-need standards.
