MINI Cooper Owners Deliver Toys to Audrey Hepburn Children’s House During Annual Holiday Toy Drive

For the 14th year in a row, MINI of Ramsey and its customers made the holidays brighter for patients at the Audrey Hepburn Children’s House, a division of the Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital at Hackensack Meridian Hackensack University Medical Center.

With their vehicles loaded with gifts, the owners of MINI Coopers and their families recently delivered toys and other items to the Children’s House, a state-designated Regional Diagnostic Center for Child Abuse and Neglect, which has more than 7,000 patient visits annually.

Many of the toys were distributed to patients in time for Christmas. The toys will also be given to new patients who come to the children’s house throughout the year.

“The wonderful partnership we have between our local community and the Children’s House is greatly cherished,” said Brett A. Biller, Psy.D., mental health director, Audrey Hepburn Children's House, Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital at Hackensack University Medical Center. “Consistent with the clinical support provided to children and families throughout the year at the Audrey Hepburn Children’s House, the gifts that are donated during the Mini Cooper Rally, are available to children who come to the Audrey Hepburn Children’s House, for medical evaluations and therapy, beyond the holiday season. Without the support from members of the community, we would not be successful in the work that we do each day. We thank MINI of Ramsey for their continued generosity and for remembering the abused and neglected children we serve.”

“This annual holiday toy drive is a joyous event we look forward to each and every year,” said Paulett Diah, M.D., FAAP, division director of Child Abuse and Neglect, Audrey Hepburn Children’s House, Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital at Hackensack University Medical Center. “The gifts we receive allow us to brighten the lives of the children we care for, and seeing their smiling faces is priceless. These children have been through a lot, and we try to normalize their lives as best we can. As always, these gifts help us do that.”

“It’s an honor to spread holiday cheer to those served by the Audrey Hepburn Children’s House for another year,” said Michael Tornatore, general manager at MINI of Ramsey. “I’d like to thank our customers and employees, who kindly donated gifts and their time to bring happiness to the children this season.”
