Hackensack Meridian Children’s Health is comprised of two children’s hospitals: Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital at Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack and K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. With a combined 221 licensed pediatric beds and over 220 employed pediatricians and pediatric medical and surgical subspecialists, Hackensack Meridian Children’s Health offers comprehensive healthcare for children and youth throughout New Jersey. Our children’s hospitals provide a wealth of services and treatments for children with complex medical conditions, and rare and chronic diseases based on the latest advances in clinical research and technology. Through research and education, our academic faculty contribute to discovery of novel treatments and to the dissemination of evidence-based approaches to care that advance the field of pediatrics and child health.
Hackensack Meridian Children’s Health hospitals are members of the Children’s Hospital Association, one of the premier voices for children’s hospitals that champion policies to support the highest quality care for children. Both children’s hospitals participate in Solutions for Patient Safety (SPS), a network of 135+ children’s hospitals who share the vision that no child will ever experience serious harm while we are trying to heal them.
Both children’s hospitals are New Jersey state-designated acute care children’s hospitals.
