Our Hospital
Based on the campus of Jersey Shore University Medical Center, ranked #4 in New Jersey by U.S. News & World Report, K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital boasts more than 30 pediatric specialties to comprehensively serve all medical needs of children. In addition to our 24-hour care, including a pediatric emergency department staffed by pediatric medical experts, we are the only Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center in New Jersey.
Inpatient service boasts 30 patient beds; 6 private and 12 semi-private rooms featuring a fun, fresh design inspired by life at the shore. The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit includes 10 private rooms and enables the hospital to provide the most advanced health services for the region’s sickest children. The hospital also offers a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Regional Perinatal Center, and Center for Breastfeeding for the care of all birth parents (especially those experiencing high-risk pregnancies), and their babies.

Child Life and Creative Arts specialists create a fun and positive environment that supports patients and families, to alleviate the stress associated with illness and, ultimately, allows kids to be kids. Special activities include: art therapy, pet therapy, music therapy and special events and visits.
