Advancements in Cardiogenic Shock Algorithms and Protocols Lead to Reduction in Mortality Rates
Hackensack University Medical Center Leads Development of Life-Saving Protocol
Dr. Anderson has led the development of shock algorithms and protocols in mechanical device heart support. Cardiogenic shock is the most common cause of death in patients who enter the hospital with a heart attack. Hackensack University Medical Center has developed a cardiogenic multidisciplinary team that manages patients using percutaneous left ventricular mechanical support devices (P-VADS) that result in better outcomes for these patients.
