At the Wound Care Center in Mountainside Medical Center, we specialize in helping your body
restore its natural healing process, even for the most challenging wounds.
Expert Wound Care Tailored to You
Our team of wound care specialists starts by thoroughly assessing your wound and identifying
any barriers to healing. We then collaborate with your personal physician to create a customized
treatment plan that may not require surgery and can often be done on an outpatient basis. Our
multidisciplinary team of experts, including board-certified physicians with wound care
expertise, endocrinologists, surgeons, infectious disease specialists, and podiatrists, work
together to provide comprehensive treatment tailored to your specific needs.
Cutting-Edge Solutions
We offer the latest in wound care treatments, including hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HbOT). This
advanced therapy delivers pure oxygen to your body, promoting healing, reducing infection risk,
and accelerating recovery. The painless treatment enhances your body's natural healing process
by delivering pure oxygen. It's proven to promote new capillary and skin growth, boost white
blood cell function, and reduce swelling in the wound area. HbOT is used to treat a variety of
conditions, including diabetic ulcers, chronic infections, and radiation injuries.
When to Seek Advanced Treatment
If you have a wound that hasn't responded to treatment within four weeks or hasn't fully healed
within eight weeks, especially if you have diabetes or vascular disease, it's time to seek
specialized care.
