Research Roundup Newsletter
The Hackensack Meridian Health Research Institute's Fall 2025 Research Roundup spotlights the remarkable strides network researchers have made toward finding more effective treatments for our patients. A few of these accomplishments include millions in funding granted to the Center for Discovery and Innovation in partnership with Johns Hopkins to address fungal infections, a “cough simulator” which could promote the development of new therapies and vaccines for tuberculosis, and the discovery of a pathway that is critical to immune function and has implications for the treatment of cancer immunotherapy, autoimmune diseases and more. This edition of the newsletter also includes significant achievements in other research-related fronts, including the Human Research Protection Program earning reaccreditation from AAHRPP for the institution’s ethical and high quality research and the launch of SPARK — Synergizing Pediatric Advancements in Research and Knowledge — a program designed to bridge the clinic and the lab.
