Hematology Oncology Fellowship | Hackensack University Medical Center

Welcome Message from the Program Director

Thank you for your interest in the Hematology and Medical Oncology Fellowship Program at Hackensack University Medical Center.

Our mission is to equip the next generation of physicians with the knowledge and skills needed to provide compassionate and comprehensive care for patients with hematologic and neoplastic disorders. We recognize that hematology/oncology is in a period of dramatic evolution and, as such, the tools required are similarly evolving. We also believe there are many ways to be a leader in our field today, and tomorrow. It is our privilege to train our future leaders and facilitate the realization of their unique aspirations.

At our fellowship program’s core are four interconnected principles: Exceptional Clinical Care, Social Awareness, Communication, and Scholarship. We offer fellows the opportunity to hone their craft and embody these principles through clinical, educational, and scholarly experiences at a leading cancer center, serving a large and diverse patient population, amid a supportive, multidisciplinary culture.
