Why I chose JSUMC? Very busy level 1 trauma center with very strong leadership within the program. Very motivated to establish the best anesthesia residency possible. Anesthesia faculty who are very invested in training/teaching.

Paul Kumpf, D.O.

Why I chose JSUMC? JSUMC is close to home, it's close to the beach (and I live beach block!), and I had great interactions during my interview with all the Anesthesiologists, including our PD at the time. I was confident that I would have great experiences, as it's a level 1 trauma center with 5 different ICUs and many fellowship-trained anesthesiologists.
Fun Fact: I have a twin brother who is also in residency.
Alyssa Marchiano, M.D.
Anesthesiology Interests: Obstetrics and Regional Anesthesia
Why I chose JSUMC? I grew up in NJ and wanted to stay close to home. I fell in love with the culture at JSUMC- everyone was so nice and welcoming, and I really wanted to do residency at a place where it felt like one big family.
Fun Fact: I am a foodie, and I love trying new restaurants around NJ. I love to travel and really want to go to Australia and South Africa. I am also a major Swiftie!
Jake Rienzo, M.D.

Fun Fact: My father is an anesthesiologist who formerly practiced at Jersey Shore.
Brandon Sciavolino, M.D.
Anesthesiology Interests: General Anesthesiology/Pediatric Anesthesiology
Why I chose JSUMC? JSUMC Anesthesiology Residency Program offers an incredible training environment, with a department and residency program that truly feel like family. Pursuing residency training here offers great clinical exposure with excellent support from faculty, while allowing you to explore the many things to do in Monmouth County when outside of the hospital.
Fun Fact: I love trying new restaurants and usually try a new one each weekend. If you ever need recommendations, I am always happy to share!
