Slated for completion in 2028, the reimagined Alton A. Hovnanian Emergency Care Center will be a state-of-the-art facility built to enhance patient safety, accommodate new technologies, and provide a more comfortable and efficient healing environment. Key features of the expansion will include:

• Expanded Capacity: With over 40 patient rooms and treatment bays, we can care for more patients more efficiently, reducing wait times and improving access to critical care.
• Specialized Treatment Spaces: The new design includes dedicated areas for specific medical needs, including trauma care and seven specialty treatment rooms.
• Advanced Diagnostic Imaging: A new, dedicated Diagnostic Imaging Center within the department will expedite testing and results, allowing for faster diagnoses and treatment.
• Enhanced Behavioral Health Services: A secured six-bed crisis care unit will address the growing demand for behavioral health services in a safe and private setting.
• Pediatric-Friendly Care: The new center will feature pediatric-friendly beds in both the main and psychiatric emergency areas, ensuring a safe and comforting space for our youngest patients in crisis.
