Foreign Interactions and Research Security

Hackensak Meridian Health (HMH) has developed and curated the following resource list to support federally supported researchers and those seeking federal funding. They can be found here (must have HMH login).

Over the last decade, the U.S. Government has grown more concerned over the threat of undue foreign government influence on the U.S research enterprise.

In response, federal agencies and funders are requiring institutions to implement training and compliance programming to address these concerns and ensure a robust export control compliance program.

At HMH, all foreign activities and sponsored travel must be disclosed as part of the annual research disclosure. These activities are reviewed and if needed, additional approvals may be required.
