TEAS Exam
General Information About the TEAS Exam
The TEAS exam is required for all applications.
Applicants get 2 attempts per application period and must wait at least 5 days in between attempts.
The TEAS exam score expires after two years.
The passing scores required for each track/program are as follows:
Generic, Pathways to BSN, and LPN-RN, Radiography 55% in BOTH Reading and Math
Accelerated Track: 70% in BOTH Reading and Math sections
Diagnostic Medical Sonography: 65% in BOTH Reading and Math sections
Note: A hard score is required for both math and reading sections. The Science and English scores are reviewed as well.
How to Register for the TEAS exam
Applicants must register for the TEAS exam at https://www.attesting.com
Select, “I’m a Nursing Student”
Hover over the TEAS option drop-down menu and click on “Register for Teas Exam”
Choose one of the three ways to take the TEAS exam:
Option 1: TEAS Online Proctored by ATI- online exam with a remote proctoring service from ATI (take the exam from home)
Option 2: TEAS Online Proctored by an Institution- online exam with a remote proctor from an institution (take the exam from home/ proctored by HMH JFK Muhlenberg Snyder Schools).
Under Program type select “Institution Remote Proctoring- Nursing”
Under Date Range select the range of dates that you wish to take the exam. Under State/Institution select “NJ” and “HMH JFK Muhlenberg Snyder Schools RN”. Click the “search” button and the test dates will appear. Select the one you want and register.
Note: Even if you are a Radiography or Diagnostic Medical Sonography student, select the test “RN” option
Option 3: In-Person Proctored by PSI- on-site exam at a PSI testing center with an in-person proctor.
The school must receive the TEAS results as it is a required part of the application process.
Depending on how you take the exam, the results are sent to our school in two ways:
Students request the TEAS transcript at the ATI website to be sent to HMH JFK Muhlenberg Snyder Schools. An ATI fee will apply.

Our school will receive the results the same day. There is no fee applied. (See Option 2 on ways to take the TEAS below)
Please Note: If you previously took the TEAS with ATI or another institution, you must order a transcript of your score to be sent to us. When requesting the transcript and searching for our school, please type in “HMH JFK Muhlenberg Snyder Schools”
If you choose to the take the exam by “Online Proctored by an Institution” (Option 2):
You will receive an email the day prior to your exam from Adam Klein with instructions and assessment IDs to take the exam.
Please check your SPAM folder as well, as sometimes the email goes there instead of your inbox.
Technical Requirements
- Microphone: Any microphone, either internal or external
- Webcam: 320x240 VGA resolution (minimum) internal or external
- Desktop or laptop computer (NO iPads, tablets, or phones are to be used) with the ability to download Google Chrome
